HONORING ARIE AND BOZENA ZWEIG

Bozena and Arie Zweig’s philanthropic activities are well known. They are prominent contributors to both Polish and Jewish communities. Bozena Zweig has been on the PAA Board of Directors since 2002. Arie Zweig is a Principal of the R.A. Zweig, Inc, in Glenview, Illinois. R. A. Zweig, Inc. is a world-class manufacturer of complex and ultra-high-precision, custom machined components for today’s most advanced industries.

Arie was born in Poland and grew up in Israel where he spent his development years, received degree in marine engineering from Mevuot Yam, started his first manufacturing business before immigrating to the United States in 1977. In 1979 he opened R.A.Zweig Inc., a machining facility specializing in complex parts for aerospace, defense, automotive, medical, and power-generation industries.

Bozena has MBA from Warsaw Chopin Academy of Music specializing in percussion instruments. Before immigrating in 1977, she was recording artist, jazz musician, and songwriter.  Among different accomplishments, Bozena was a member of the Polish Radio Orchestra, the Youth Persecution Assemble in Bayreuth and took part in the Festival of Contemporary Music Warsaw Autumn. She also performed with Grazyna Lobaszewska and Stan Borys.

Arie and Bozena are involved in real-estate developments in both United States and Europe. Their philanthropic activities are well established and they are prominent contributors to both Polish and Jewish communities. Their home is open to charitable organizations, politicians, artists, for whom they organize countless fundraisers. They promote Polish culture and actively promoting Polish causes on political arena. They are recipients of numerous awards from the Polish Government and State of Illinois for Outstanding Public Service and dedication and commitment to the Polish American community.

Arie was awarded Senatorial Medal of Freedom, Yoni Netanyahu Award, Honored by Friends of IDF and received Millennium Business Award for promoting Polish/Illinois business. Arie is a founder and President of the Paderewski Symphony Orchestra, where he and Bozena are both actively involved. Bozena is serving on the PAA Board of Directors for last 10 years. They currently live in Winnetka. They have four daughters and eleven grandchildren.
