Citizenship Classes

The PAA offers Intensive Citizenship Classes for beginners. The goal of this class is to help legal residents become citizens by preparing them for the naturalization exam and by teaching them the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. Our classes are especially designed for limited-English speaking Poles, and combine intensive English as a Second Language instruction with teaching civics.
The PAA also offers review Citizenship Classes for our former Intensive Citizenship Class students or for those who wish to quickly review the naturalization process.
All classes are free of charge. They are organized at convenient times (mornings, evenings, Saturdays and Sundays) and at convenient locations (the northwest and southwest sides of Chicago), and with a curriculum designed to meet the particular needs of this group.
Registration occurs twice a year: From August 1st to August 31st, and again from December 1st to December 31st.
