Job Development and Placement
PAA offers a wide range of employment services to job-seekers as well as employers under funding provided by the City of Chicago’s Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS).
SERVICES FOR JOB-SEEKERS: The program provides assistance with job placement, referrals and reimbursement for vocational training and a variety of support services for Chicago residents with numerous barriers to employment and low or moderate income.
* In order to participate in the program, a person must register at the PAA Employment Services office located at 3819 N. Cicero in Chicago.

ELIGIBILITY FOR SERVICES:
A participant must bring a proof of:
- US citizenship or legal alien status, birth certificate, voter's registration, US passport, Alien Registration Card (I-551) or I-94 or other original immigration document authorizing employment
- Age, must be at least 18 years old
- Address (must be a Chicago resident) - Driver's License, State ID, current gas, electrical, telephone bill.
- Income for the last 6 months:
- Most recent pay stubs;
- Unemployment claimant letter and most recent unemployment pay stub;
- Medical card from Public Aid,;
- Income tax or other documents stating income;
Selective Service System registration for men born after December 31, 1959 - ONLY THOSE POSSESSING ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MAY BE REGISTERED.

SERVICES FOR EMPLOYERS:
PAA makes the following services available to the employers:
- marketing agency services to local employers;
- providing information about Illinois workNet
- taking job orders;
- recruitment services such as job banks, job fairs, employee recruitment;
- referring qualified applicants to companies;
- counseling and screening of each eligible participant;
- support services for new employees;
- working with employers in the areas of cultural sensitivity;
- providing translation at interviews
All our services are free of charge.
