Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) & Health Care Resource Training Programs
The Polish American Association's Certified Nurse Assistant Training Program is 14 weeks long and consists of 150 hours (100 hours of theory and 50 hours of clinical practice) in the basic principles and procedures of patient care. Clinical experience is obtained in a long term care setting (nursing home/ hospital). The program prepares students to give personal care to patients by helping them meet basic human needs for everyday living. The program's instructors are Registered Nurses (RN), licensed in Illinois.
The program is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health's Training and Technical Direction Unit for Long Term Care Field Operations. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are assisted in taking the Illinois Nurse Aide Competency Examination.
