Summary: We are seeking an Insurance Claims Adjuster to join our team at the PRCUALife. The responsibilities include the evaluation of insurance requests, verifying policyholder information, and calculating the requested information from the policyholder. The Life Insurance adjuster will also aid in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes in the Audit Department while providing exceptional customer service. Your contribution will directly impact our mission to support our members and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate insurance claims and review policy information.
• Determine the validity of insurance claims and calculate payments as necessary.
• Keep track of the insurance claim process and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage and maintain claim files and related documentation.
• Enter ACH payments into Bank Reconciliation form.
• Compile ACH, PCI-CC, & PCI-ACH payments for month end closing.
• Process Annuity Commissions bimonthly.
• Calculate Weekly Bank Balances from internal reports and checks stubs.
• Prepare Daily Deposit worksheets for daily balancing.
• Manage Certificate Loans.
• Prepare Extended Term Insurance calculations monthly.
• Prepare Dividend Corrections from UBL.
• Prepare Policy Jacket and notify members of Extended Term Insurance (policy is expired).
• Calculate changes to certificates; ie, change of plan, reduced paid-up.

Requirements:

• Excellent understanding of insurance claims, policies, and regulations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within deadlines.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using insurance related software and computer systems.
• Must have excellent knowledge in mathematics.
• Polish language a plus.

Job Type: Full-time 

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
