Accounting Internship
The Accounting Intern is responsible for assisting the Finance Director in planning, supporting and executing a wide-range of projects.
The ideal candidate would:
- Have a basic understanding of accounting principles
- Have completed Accounting 101/102 courses
- Have strong work ethic, be intelligent, and self-motivated
- Attentive to detail and able to meet deadlines
- Able to manage priorities and multi task effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good at communicating for dealing with diverse staff.
- Able to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Interns will gain experience in:
- Non-for-profit Accounting
- Data entry and updating additions and corrections in databases
- Filing, preparing, and billing vouchers and other functions as assigned
- Submitting invoices to the City and State tailored to the PAA’s mission
Interns must be prepared to:
- Be able to come into the office twice a week
